Gusha follows on Ma’Mkhize’s footsteps
We have a bunch of dedicated players who also want to make name for themselves.
VANDERBIJLPARK.- When she bought the Free State Hollywood Bets League’s status little did Mantombi Gusha knew that her team one day will be representing the district at provincial level.
Gusha, who is also a local businesswoman, is in mission to make her name for herself in South African football. She is following in the footsteps of Royal AM boss lady, Shauwn ‘Ma’Mkhize’ Mkhize. No doubt, with her passion for this beautiful game, she will make a success. Gusha, has been involved in her husband’s club behind the scene running the club’s day to day affairs.

She now owns Kokota Piano FC, who campaigns in the Hollywood Bets League status in the Free State, Fezile Dabi District. The club will represent the district in the Provincial Play-offs scheduled to take place in Bloemfontein. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport after her team was crowned the Fezile Dabi District Nedbank Cup champs, Gusha said she is very happy with the team’s progress.

“I have no doubt that we are going to make our presence felt in this league. This competition is giving amateur teams the opportunity to play against the big teams in PSL. We aim to go as far as we can in this tournament and I have no doubt that these boys will surprise many teams. I’m still learning, but I’m happy that I’s surrounded by good people who are supportive. I love football and I’m one of the few women who spend her weekends at soccer grounds while others are in the kitchen. My prayer is to see this team going as far as to ABC Motsepe League and beyond. I really like to thank those Fezile Dabi District football administrators who warmly welcomed us in this league,” Gusha concluded.
