Sedibeng Soccer Legends call for Soccer Indaba
“Your concern regarding the transformation of soccer development in this region is highly noted."

SEDIBENG.- Finally there is a plan to call a Soccer Indaba in Sedibeng.
This follows after Zakes’ Sports Corner highlighted the urgent need to call a Soccer Indaba to address some pressing issues regarding the state of affairs of Vaal football.
This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by Scara Motloung from Sedibeng Soccer Legends. Motloung told Sedibeng Ster Sport that they had a meeting where they also invited former SAFA President Dr Molefi Oliphant.
The meeting took place at Sedibeng District Municipality in Vereeniging on January 14. According to Motloung the follow-up meeting is scheduled for February 17 at the same venue.
“It took interest in reading Sedibeng Ster’s Zakes’ Sports Corner (16 January – 22 January) under the headline, ‘Just shut up and do your jobs,’ said Motloung.
“Your concern regarding the transformation of soccer development in this region is highly noted. We had a fruitful meeting with the former SAFA President Dr Oliphant. I think it is high time that the region must take the initiative to bring top-flight football back to the Vaal again. It has been a while since this region has had a representative in top-flight football, like you always highlighted in your weekly column. I do not doubt that this Soccer Indaba will give us direction on where to start,” Motloung concluded.
Sedibeng Ster Sport will follow this development with key interest.
