Boiketlong Funeral Directors remembers Lindiwe

SEBOKENG.- Boiketlong Funeral Directors gave out 50 pairs of shoes, socks, and jerseys to Boiketlong Primary School children in Boiketlong, Sebokeng recently.

The Malindi family who are the owners of Boiketlong Funeral Directors said that the aim of the donation was to celebrate the birthday of one of their daughters, the late Lindiwe Malindi which was on January 22.

Lindiwe was shot and killed by assailants when she was closing the family business in the Industrial area, Zone 10, Extension 1 in Sebokeng last April.
Police said, at the time, that the victims were in the process of locking the business premises (Boiketlong Funeral Directors) when they noticed two unidentified individuals approaching the deceased’s vehicle parked outside the yard. Lindiwe was seated in the driver’s seat, accompanied by one female in the front passenger seat and another female in the rear passenger seat.
“One of the suspects began firing shots at the driver, identified as Lindiwe.
She sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
As one employee attempted to aid the deceased, a suspect shot him once. Another employee was shot three times by the suspects. Subsequently, the suspects returned to the vehicle and shot the front passenger once. Following the attack, the suspects fled toward the Boiketlong squatter camp. The victims were swiftly transported to the hospital for medical treatment, where Lindiwe was pronounced dead.

“She had said on her last birthday that she will be giving back to the community on her next birthday. Unfortunately, she did not make it to that birthday. So, we as her family and colleagues made it possible.”
