Condolences pour in for EFF’s MLM councillor
"Mazibuko’s contributions to the municipality will leave a lasting impact."

MIDVAAL. – Extending his, and the municipality’s condolences on the death of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)) Councillor, Julia Mazibuko, Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Executive Mayor, Peter Teixeira described her as a dedicated member of the Midvaal Council.
EFF MLM Councillor, Julia Mazibuko recently passed away after a short illness.
She served as a Proportional Representative (PR) Councillor party in the MLM, and had been a member of the EFF since 2014 and an activist in Ward 7, Walkerville where she became the chair of the branch and was later elected as the treasure of the EFF in Sedibeng region.
She served as a PR councillor in 2016 and as a Municipal Public Accounts Committees (MPAC) Chairperson in the Midvaal council.
Teixeira said, “She was a dedicated member of the Midvaal Council, known for her unwavering commitment and passion for serving her community. She will be remembered for her hard work, resilience, and willingness to go the extra mile for those she represented.”
Teixeira added that Mazibuko’s contributions to the municipality will leave a lasting impact.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are with her family, friends, colleagues, and the community during this difficult time.”
EFF Sedibeng Regional Chairperson, Isaac Khithika said, “We are deeply saddened by her death as it comes as a shock. She was young and an active fighter. We shall pick up the spear and continue to fight.”
Mazibuko passed away on Thursday, January 30, and will be buried on Saturday at the Meyerton Cemetery.
