Murdered businessman to be laid to rest
The victim was shot in the upper body and transported to Medi clinic by private vehicle where he passed on early in the morning.
SHARPEVILLE.- John Maxwell Lisa, the Sharpeville entrepreneur who was brutally shot and killed in Putswasteen on March 13 will be buried on Saturday.

A case of murder is being investigated by the Sharpeville police after the shop owner was gunned down on Tuesday, March 11 where the Sharpeville Police were summoned to the scene of a shooting at Solly’s Studio Shop, and on arrival found an eyewitness who related the incident.

It was the end of business at Solly’s Studio when the owner closed the shop and was ambushed by a man wearing black clothes. Shots were fired, his motor vehicle was struck by bullets and it was damaged. The victim was shot in the upper body and transported to Medi clinic by private vehicle where he passed on early in the morning (Wednesday), confirmed police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango.
The investigation is ongoing and the suspect is on the run.
The police are appealing to the members of the community to come forward with any form of information regarding this matter by calling 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS app. All information will be handled confidentially.
A memorial service was held for Lisa yesterday, Wednesday, March 19, and he will be buried this coming weekend.
