Power failure leads to water disruptions in central Vanderbijlpark

"Management at ELM are some of the most incompetent people I've experienced in my life. Hire some competent people, Management, Town planner, Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Foreman and qualified red seal artisans."

A power failure has led to widespread water outages across Vanderbijlpark.

Consumers from various areas are affected, including Vanderbijlpark CBD, CE, CW, and the NW areas.

According to a statement by the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) this is due to a power failure that affected pumping processes at the reservoirs.

No timeline was given for when the water supply would be restored.

Residents react on Emfuleni’s statement published on Facebook:

Jan Pienaar: Where are your backup generators?

Lavita Smooth Talker Da: Very useless municipality, we can’t bath or cook but we pay for electricity water –  DA can do much better than this.
Hendrik van der Linde: Management at ELM are some of the most incompetent people I’ve experienced in my life. Hire some competent people, Management, Town planner, Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Foreman and qualified red seal artisans.

Khi Do’s: Useless and Emfuleni are one happy family!
