Sebokeng SAPS alerts the public about criminal trends

The public is urged not to allow strangers into their premises.

SEBOKENG.- Criminals are becoming technologically advanced, and they also change with the times.

It is for this reason that the Sebokeng police would like to remind the public about safety practices and alert them to always be mindful of crime and know that when the season changes, crime patterns also change. Police Spokesperson, Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that the crime overview within the precinct has shown instability with some of the crimes picking up, while others showed a significant decrease.

The SAPS pleads with the community members to:

– Wise up and take charge of their neighbourhoods by standing together and fighting crime.

– The street patrols are still very much encouraged

– Lookout for criminal markings on your premises.

– Adequate lighting on premises is advantageous

– Stay alert and look for suspicious vehicles or persons around you and report such immediately

The public is urged not to allow strangers into their premises, and they should verify with every department about anyone claiming to be from any department.
