Prehistoric fun in the Vaal

The mechanical dinosaurs will delight young and old.

VEREENIGING – The Vaal Showgrounds will be in a state of uproar from April 17 to 20 when the Jurassic Giant Festival comes to town. After successful festivals in 2023 and 2024 in Durban, Pretoria, and Johannesburg, the Vaal Triangle is next on the list.

The mechanical dinosaurs will delight young and old. Two of the big attractions are the T-Rex (13m) and Austrolotitan (20m).

The festival grounds cover approximately 10 000m2. There will be rides, food and stalls, as well as a Dino Expo, Jurassic Giants, a dinosaur street theatre, reptile show, a dinosaur play area, a bouncy castle area, fossil excavation and a picnic area.

The gates open at 09:00 and close at 17:00. Visit Dino World Travel on Facebook for ticket prices and more information.
