My soul says Orlando Pirates but my heart says Kaizer Chiefs

This final is going to revive a lot of memories.

SEDIBENG.- It has been a while since Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs met in any cup final.

The two South African football giants will meet in the much published Nedbank Cup final which is a ‘Dream Final’ for both teams’ supporters. In fact, lately Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have been featuring in almost every cup final with Kaizer Chiefs watching from the stands.

However, this is not the point.

The point is that our local boy Relebohile Mofokeng will be featuring in the third cup final since he turned professional. This is a remarkable achievement for this Sharpeville -born forward. This is an achievement that other players in PSL can only dream about. Since being promoted to Pirates senior team, he has been enjoying the fruits of his hard work.

No doubt, he is going to be player to be watch come the final day.

The venue for this much anticipated final is at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban

This final is going to revive a lot of memories, such as when Pirates and Chiefs supporters used to gather at the Zone 11 Post Office, in Sebokeng, in the Vaal, on the day of most finals. This is the venue that both teams supporters used to meet for transportation to the stadiums also in derby games.

Mofokeng is the only reason for Vaal supporters to go to stadium in big numbers this time around.

My soul says Orlando Pirates but my heart says Kaizer Chiefs, may the best team on the day win.
