Man found killed near Vuka Cemetery

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man sustained open wounds on his body.

SHARPEVILLE. – The recent cleaning of the Vuka Cemetery has seemingly not deterred criminal activities around the graveyard.

Sharpeville police were summoned to a murder scene at the K53 road next to the cemetery last week. Upon arrival, they found a man in his early thirties lying on his back. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man sustained open wounds on his body.

“Emergency services were summoned to the scene and declared the man dead,” said police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango.

The deceased was later identified.
