SANBS expresses gratitude for life-saving blood donations before Easter

Notably, 55 first-time donors registered and donated blood alongside existing donors, highlighting the campaign’s success in engaging new participants.

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) extends its heartfelt appreciation to the residents of the Vaal Triangle who contributed to a successful blood drive on April 12. A total of 319 units of blood were collected at various local shopping centres and businesses.
“Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported this great initiative. We cannot express enough gratitude for all our stakeholders who always avail themselves and join hands with us,” says Thando Seko of SANBS.
Notably, 55 first-time donors registered and donated blood alongside existing donors, highlighting the campaign’s success in engaging new participants.

The breakdown of blood units collected is as follows:
– Sasolburg Boulevard Mall: 99 units

– Meyerton Irish Harp: 103 units

– Vaal Mall: 58 units

– River Square Donor Centre: 37 units

– SANBS Vanderbijlpark Donor Centre: 22 units
