10 Sluice gates to be opened at Vaal Dam
If the dam reaches 126% capacity, the water will flow over the sluice gates and there will be no control.
Due to the Vaal Dam being at 118% full, planned action has to be taken.
Vaal Dam, operations for today are recommended as follows:
09:00 – open 7th sluice gate
10:00 – open an 8th sluice gate
12:00 – open 9th sluice gate
13:00 – open 10th sluice gate
