EVATON.- A proposed idea by both the youth from the Evaton and Sebokeng Circuits of the Ethiopian Church of South Africa (SA) led to an outreach that was recently held at the South African Red Cross in Evaton.

The youth made the proposal to the leaders of the church on how they can help the needy, and the Red Cross was chosen as the beneficiary. Most of the children at the Red Cross are staying with the grandparents and some are from child headed families.

After a short service at the church, the youth, together with a delegation of elders and reverends made way to the home where a short programme was held, with prayers being the main focus, then the aim of the visit being outlined.
Excitement filled the eyes of the children at the home as the church members donated clothes, sanitary towels and essentials products.
The Evaton Red Cros welcomed the visit and was thankful to the church for not forgetting the less fortunate.
