Mmabolo engages ELM employees in Imbizo

“The meeting aims to foster dialogue, allowing employees to voice concerns."

SEDIBENG.- In a move said to be aimed at directly addressing the challenges facing the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Jacob Mamabolo, held a crucial imbizo with ELM employees last week.

The gathering took place outside the municipal head office in Vanderbijlpark.

The ELM said that the decision to hold the imbizo outdoors, in an accessible and central location, suggests a commitment to open communication and transparency.

“The meeting aims to foster dialogue, allowing employees to voice concerns, share perspectives, and contribute to finding solutions for the issues plaguing the municipality, including service delivery failures and financial instability.”

Mamabolo outlined the province’s plan for Emfuleni, touching upon strategies to improve governance, boost efficiency, and restore public trust.

“ The imbizo encourages direct interaction and provides a platform for employees to engage directly with provincial leadership, ensuring employee voices are heard and their concerns addressed,” the ELM said.
