SEDIBENG.- The SAFA Sedibeng Hollywood Men’s League finished the 2024/2025 season with fewer teams.

This was after Vaal Elite Soccer Academy was expelled from the competition after failing to honour their league games on three consecutive weekends. According to SAFA rules, if a team fails to honour their fixtures three consecutive times, they are summoned to the disciplinary committee and face expulsion from the league.

This rule was applied to the club, and the league was forced to be completed with a smaller number of teams. However, Sedibeng Ster Sport has learned that some of the teams will also be summoned before the SAFA Sedibeng Regional Disciplinary Committee for a similar incident.

Some of the teams known to Sedibeng Ster Sport are also facing the possibility of being expelled from the league with a similar incident.

This was highlighted by the SAFA Sedibeng Deputy President Velaphi Motsepe during an exclusive interview with Sedibeng Ster Sport after Young Pirates FC were crowned the Regional League champions over the weekend. Meanwhile, apart from the teams that might face expulsion, three teams will be relegated to the lower league.

Sedibeng Ster Sport learned that Ghabon, Ben 10 FC, Vaal Juventus FC, and Vaal Milano might be the teams that will be relegated to the lower league.

However, this is still to be confirmed.
