Zakes’ Sports Corner demands change

Zakes’ Sport Corner doesn’t have a problem when people drink alcohol while watching football matches, but leaving the bottles of beer all over the place is a big NO!

SEDIBENG.- Zakes’ Sports Corner is under the impression that we have become an irresponsible nation that doesn’t respect sporting facilities within our community.

Yes, Zakes’ Sports Corner said it, an irresponsible bunch of drunkards!

After every sporting event, especially soccer matches in our community, you will see empty bottles of beer all over the place. The sad reality is that you will never see this at other communities’ sporting facilities.

But why?

This is Zakes’ Sports Corner’s plea to the Sedibeng community to clean up their mess after the final whistle or any sporting event. Those sporting facilities are used by our children. Leaving the empty bottles of beer all over the place, like it was a “Beer Festival,” is disgusting to say the least.

This has become a culture in our community.

Yours truly, Zakes’ Sports Corner, always attends these community soccer tournaments, and between the organisers and soccer fans, I am uncertain who to blame for this situation.

This happens every weekend!

What kind of message are you sending to those children playing at these sporting venues? Zakes’ Sport Corner doesn’t have a problem when people drink alcohol while watching football matches, but leaving the bottles of beer all over the place is a big NO!

Zakes’ Sports Corner believes that there is no respect for the sporting facilities in our community.

There must be a difference between our sporting facilities and taverns. The truth is that we are better than that as the football community. We shouldn’t behave like a “drunk” football community.

I hope you understand.
