Another exciting Vaal youngster joins Pirates
“We wish the boy all the best and I do not doubt that he will make the Vaal proud, just like Rele Mofokeng."
SHARPEVILLE.- Another Vaal youngster, Tshepang Moremi, has joined Orlando Pirates.
This followed the breaking news that Pirates had secured the signature of this Sharpeville-born youngster from Amazulu. Moremi is expected to form a deadly combination with his homeboy, Relebohile Mofokeng. The two grew up together in Sharpeville, playing for Sharpeville Benfica and Celeb Youth Academy respectively.
This was before they rose to stardom in South African football. To date, Moremi was one of the best performers for Amazulu when the club stunned many and escaped a possible relegation. Amazulu also finished inside the top eight ahead of the likes of Kaizer Chiefs. Moremi was instrumental in the club’s escape from the relegation axe under coach Arthur Zwane. Pirates will now have four players from Vaal, with Boitumelo Radiopane and Thabiso Lebito being others.
Much is expected from this Vaal group ahead of the new season.
His former coach at Benfica FC, Tsimo Motsepe, was the first to congratulate Moremi. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he can’t wait to see these two Sharpeville youngsters playing together come the new season.
“We wish the boy all the best and I do not doubt that he will make the Vaal proud, just like Rele Mofokeng. I can’t wait for the season to start to watch these youngsters playing together, coming from the same township,” said Motsepe.
