For SAFA Sedibeng to kill women's soccer league is criminal.

SEDIBENG.- As Women’s Month comes to an end, Zakes’s Sports Corner wants to look at the issue of women’s football in this region.
As things stand, there is no women’s soccer league playing in this region.
Much has been said and written about the women’s soccer league, with SAFA Sedibeng Deputy President Velaphi Motsepe at the centre of controversy. Sedibeng Ster Sport ran an article about the women’s soccer teams’ representative demanding answers from SAFA Sedibeng on why the women’s soccer league is not active this season.
Yours Truly, self-appointed Minister of Sports, Zakes’ Sports Corner, needs to voice my concern about this.
The problem with SAFA Sedibeng is that they only focus on the men’s Regional League and neglect the women’s soccer league.
Yes, Zakes’ Sports Corner just said it, neglected!
MATTER OF FACT, women’s football is not only about Gauteng Development Women League or Sasol Women League.
No!
The truth is that not every women’s soccer team with no budget or sponsor can afford to play at the above-mentioned leagues. For SAFA Sedibeng to kill women’s soccer league is criminal to say the least.
Zakes’ Sports Corner demands the revival of the women’s soccer league in this region.
It is embarrassing not to have a women’s soccer league in this region, and SAFA Sedibeng must take responsibility for this because they are to blame even if they point their fingers in the other direction. As the custodian of football in this region, it is their responsibility to ensure all football structures are active – this includes the women’s soccer league.
This time around, women will not go to the Union Building but to SAFA House to demand that the women’s soccer league be revived in this region.
Zakes’ Sports Corner challenges all the women’s structures in this region to join women’s soccer teams marching to SAFA Sedibeng to demand the revival of the women’s soccer league in this region. There is a problem as things stand, that this region is no longer producing Banyana Banyana players like in the past.
If Zakes Sports Corner may ask, when was the last time you heard of any Banyana Banyana players coming from Vaal?
This is because women’s football here in Vaal is no longer the same, and this is a BIG concern for Zakes Sports Corner.
Like Zakes Sports Corner said before, something drastically needs to be done to revive the women’s soccer league in this region.
It can’t be business as usual, with all due respect!
