Biggy Bongs Development FC means business

Despite boasting exceptional young talent, the club faces a major hurdle.

SEDIBENG.- Biggy Bongs FC, an Evaton-West-based football development club founded by Bongani Mphanya, is on a mission to nurture future Bafana Bafana stars.

Operating across four age groups, U11, U13, U15 and U17, the Ext 11 club has big ambitions to become one of Gauteng’s top development teams.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mphanya announced that the side will compete in the Emfuleni Local Football Association in the upcoming season. He believes participating in competitive league matches will sharpen the players.

Previously, the squad has had to travel extensively around the Vaal to play friendly matches against more established outfits while training at the local community park.

Despite boasting exceptional young talent, the club faces a major hurdle with a lack of proper training and playing equipment.

“We are an ambitious development team that wants to achieve a lot in local football, but these challenges are preventing us from growing as a team,” he told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
