Breast Cancer Awareness Month Tournament

"We will be holding hands together in support of those who are suffering from breast cancer."

SHARPEVILLE.- There will be a hive of activities in the form of various sporting codes at George Thabe Stadium from October 4- 26.

This will be in celebration of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month Tournament.

Soccer, netball, volleyball, tennis, Fun Run, basketball, and cycling will form part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month Tournament.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Themba Zwelibanzi, who is the main organiser of this initiative, said that they use sports to raise awareness about breast cancer within the community.

Zwelibanzi urges the community to come in numbers to support this initiative. He believes there is a serious need to raise awareness about Breast Cancer through playing sports.

“Sports play an important part within the community; hence we decided to organise these sporting activities to raise awareness as part of the day’s programme. I have no doubt that we are going to achieve our objective with this initiative. We will be holding hands together in support of those who are suffering from breast cancer. We are going to show our support to them,” said Zwelibanzi.
