Despite losing in the final, his team was the most exciting in the tournament. Back to Nnete, he was an exciting player during his days as a player. He is still involved in football apart from coaching the youngsters. He still keeps himself busy playing for masters and legends soccer teams.

Some of the teams he played for as a young player were Rainbow Juventus FC and Continental FC. One of the players he played alongside includes former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana defender Edward Motale.

Nnete is very active in local football and recently was part of the coaches who attended the FAR coaching and soccer clinics in Sharpeville.
