Sebokeng police celebrate Career Day with Cynthia City Day Care Centre

"SAPS’s presence made the children feel safe and comfortable as most children fear police officers."

SEBOKENG.- On 16 October 2025, Sebokeng SAPS and Gauteng Traffic Wardens participated in a Career Day which was hosted by Cynthia City Day Care Centre.

The little ones got a chance to learn more about the different careers/ professions in a fun and interactive way.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that children dressed according to their choice of professional uniforms to showcase various careers such as police officers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, teachers, and firefighters.

The event was aimed at exposing the children to different career paths, sparking curiosity, and building their confidence.

“SAPS’s presence made the children feel safe and comfortable as most children fear police officers,” said Mokhachane.

The Station Commander ,rigadier Thembekile Kubone, stated that she cannot wait for the dedicated young police officers to join the service and added that she has a soft spot for the young ones.
