Grade Progression Parade honours more than 140 members of SAPS
Major General Mukhwevho congratulated those who progressed and emphasised that grade progression is not only a recognition of years of service, but also a call to greater responsibility, discipline, and ethical leadership.
SEDIBENG.- The Sedibeng District Commissioner, Major General Nkhensani Mukhwevho, recently led a Grade Progression Parade honouring more than 140 members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) who progressed in rank during the 2025/2026 Financial Year recently.



The parade was held at the Sedibeng District Municipality’s (SDM) parking area in Vereening, where a total of 106 members progressed to the rank of Warrant Officer (WO), 21 members progressed to the rank of Sergeant, while 13 Warrant Officers received salary grade progression in line with the SAPS Grade Progression Policy.



Addressing the members, Major General Mukhwevho congratulated those who progressed and emphasised that grade progression is not only a recognition of years of service, but also a call to greater responsibility, discipline, and ethical leadership.

She further encouraged the newly progressed members to lead by example, uphold the values of the SAPS, and remain professional, accountable, and community-focused, particularly during the ongoing Safer Festive Season operations, where visible policing and service excellence are critical.
