Nkgopoleng sends its condolences to Ahmed’s family

SASOLBURG.- The community of Nkgopoleng Secondary School is in mourning following the passing of one of its most beloved pupil, Ahmed ‘Mohammed’ Mokoena.
Ahmed passed away on Monday (February 2) after being admitted to the hospital on Saturday.
The school confirmed the news, expressing deep shock and sadness at the loss of a young man known for his incredible spirit. Ahmed was well know on social media for his jokes and outspokenness.

Ahmed had been battling a rare condition affecting his kidneys and feet. Last year, he had undergone a successful operation at Baragwanath Hospital and appeared to be on his journey to recovery. However, after experiencing sudden pain on January 31, he was hospitalised and tragically passed away two days later.
The school described Mokoena as a bubbly and joyful student who was popular and loved by many.
In a heartfelt statement, the school community paid tribute to his character.
“Ahmed will be remembered as a strong, resilient fighter who fought his life battle until the last lap. He didn’t quit and let his medical condition get the better of him. To Ahmed, fare thee well, boy. Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey of not quitting in the midst of hard times with our learners, teachers, and the entire staff. Yours is a story of motivation! May your soul rest in eternal peace.”
Nkgopoleng Secondary School has extended its deepest condolences to the Mokoena family during this difficult time.
