Mamelodi Sundowns boss visits Vaal
Tlhopi Motsepe was in the Vaal, much to the delight of the Sundowns fans.
SEBOKENG.- Mamelodi Sundowns chairperson, Tlhopi Motsepe, who is the son of CAF President Patrice Motsepe, visited Sedibeng on Saturday.
Motsepe attended the Mamelodi Sundowns Women Supporters Forum launch held at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Zone 14. This gathering was attended by supporters from all regions, with the club’s provincial and national delegates in attendance.

This event was a great success considering the attendance of the club’s chairperson, regardless of his busy schedule. Motsepe (Tlhopi) was accompanied by several notable figures, including some of the club’s former greats, such as supporters’ national coordinator Daniel Modau, and Tiyane Mabunda.
Supporters’ representatives who attended the gathering included Thabo Leoma, Obed Mahlaba, Isaac Shivambu, and Angy Lengele.
Women’s structure relaunched
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Fats Motaung, who is the Sundowns Supporters Provincial chairperson, said the main aim of this gathering was to revive the club’s women’s supporters forum.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the Mamelodi Sundowns women’s forum structure was first launched back in 2019, but was disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. He said efforts were made to revive this structure with no success until they took the initiative to relaunch it on Saturday.

Motaung hailed this event as a great success, especially considering the attendance of the club’s chairperson. Motsepe’s presence shows how much he cares about the supporters and his willingness to listen to them.

“We want to thank all the supporters who honoured our invitation to be part of this launch.
As the chairman of the club’s provincial supporters, I want to thank leaders from the national offices and the chairman for honouring our invitation. This will go a long way as one of our achievements to have the chairman in our midst. We all know how busy he is, but he took his time to be with us today,” said Motaung.

When addressing the women, Motsepe said that Mamelodi Sundowns valued the commitment and support of the women. Motsepe gave the women a platform to engage on things they want to see in the club.
Free entrance for senior citizens demanded
Some of the things the women demanded are free entrance for senior citizens at their home games.
The women also talked about their safety and their children at the stadium. However, the most important issue the women raised was the second star on the club’s jersey because the Sundowns women’s soccer team won the CAF tournament.

They told Motsepe it is important that the second star be added to the club’s jersey. Motsepe promised the women that some of the things that they had asked for would be considered.
Meanwhile, motivational speakers talked to the women about leadership, especially those who will be leading the Women’s Forum structure.
