Career exhibition at Arcelor Mittal Science Centre Sebokeng

The Exhibition was aimed at assisting matriculants with an insight into various career paths.

SEBOKENG.- The Sebokeng SAPS participated in a Career Exhibition held at the Arcelor Mittal Science Centre in Sebokeng on Saturday.

The exhibition was held in collaboration with different stakeholders that included:

– SAPS

– Gauteng Traffic Wardens

– MASP

– Labour Department

– Sebokeng IT

– GET ON Skills Development

– Arcelor Mittal Science Centre

– South African Institute of Civil Engineering (SAICE)

– South African Paralegal Research Institution (SAPRI)

– Star Quality

– FNB

– Letlotlo Production & Freedom Park

– ABSA

– Municipality Bursary Department

– Rosebank College

– Standard Bank

– University of Johannesburg TechnoLab

– INSETA

– Thetha FM

– Randwater

– Capitec

Learners from across Sedibeng came in numbers to gain knowledge and be educated about the various career paths to choose from.

“The Exhibition was aimed at assisting matriculants with an insight into various career paths, to gain valuable career insights through self-reflection, career exploration, and skills,” said the host Pastor Mzwadile Nkalankala of Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (Zone 10 Sebokeng)

Lerato Marabe aka ‘Pretty Seakamela’ from Skeem Saam graced the occasion with her presence. She shared her career journey with the youth and encouraged them to aim higher in life.

“Learners were briefed about different career paths by the above-mentioned Stakeholders and further educated about different Components and Units in the SAPS, what is VFF Office (Victim Friendly Facility), GBV, Bullying, and cyberbullying,” police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said.

The Station Commander of Sebokeng SAPS Brigadier Thembekile Kubone, thanked all the stakeholders for playing their part in the Career Exhibition and most of all appreciated Pastor Mzwadile Nkalankala for this initiative.

 ” I am really proud of Universal Church of the Kingdom of God and Victory Youth Group South Africa (VYG). I am looking forward to collaborate with them on their future events”.
