Vanderbijlpark SAPS commemorates Mandela Day

A meal was served to people in need, and the children were also given teddy bears.

BOPHELONG. – The Vanderbijlpark SAPS combined units and different stakeholders joined hands on Friday in commemoration of the 67 minutes of Mandela Day.

This event was held at the Marikana informal settlement, where a meal was served to people in need, and the children were also given teddy bears.

Police said that the excitement shown on the faces of the children reflected their gratitude. Brigadier Ndwandwe applauded the initiative and emphasised the importance of giving back to the community.
