Eleven Ideas empowers community through free training

The training was part of ploughing back to the same community that supports us.

SEBOKENG.- 11 Eleven Ideas Rigging and Training recently empowered the local community through free occupational safety training.

This four-day initiative in partnership with Evaton Mall saw six deserving community members receive basic First Aid and Basic Fire Fighting training at no cost.

This training was held at 11 Eleven Ideas Rigging and Training premises from July 28-31. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Lesego Mphaka, the organisation’s director, said this initiative reflects their commitment to promoting community safety, enhancing employability, and equipping individuals with practical, life-saving skills that can benefit the workplace, families, and the broader community.

Mphaka said they believe this initiative represents a positive community development story that needs to be told and showcased. He told Sedibeng Ster that the six community members who attended this training received formal training, which will benefit them in the long run.

He said the main purpose of this Community Investment Initiative (CSI) was to increase access to occupational skills development for community members who may not otherwise have the opportunity to receive quality training.

Giving Sedibeng Ster a brief background about the organisation, he said previous initiatives include the United of Stiliza giving away a soccer kit. The organisation also partnered with the Heist of Combo U21 Tournament, where they provided individual awards.

“Look, it is not about business but making an impact within our community. This is why we offered these six community members free training to empower them. We are a local registered training provider offering legal compliance and short accredited learning programmes. The training was part of ploughing back to the same community that supports us,” said Mphaka.
