Sekhukhune United welcomes wounded Polokwane City
Looking at both teams’ stats, they have much to play for come Saturday.
VANDERBIJLPARK.- Sekhukhune United returns to home turf this Saturday full of confidence following an impressive 4-0 victory over Chippa United in East London.
That massive away win has boosted United to 11th spot on the table, and they now have their sights firmly set on the top eight.
In contrast, the visitors arrive “limping” after a disappointing 2-0 loss to Marumo Gallants last weekend. City currently finds itself in a risky position, sitting 15th with just 19 points from 22 matches.
Looking at both teams’ stats, they have much to play for come Saturday.
However, United have the upper hand coming into this encounter, looking at their impressive home record.
While these two teams battle for mid-table security, the title race is heating up at the top. Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are currently locked at the summit on 48 points each. Pirates hold the top spot on goal difference and crucially have a game in hand, keeping the pressure on the defending champions.
Saturday’s clash will be played at Isak Steyl Stadium.
Kick-off time is scheduled for 12:00.
