This one-day netball tournament took place at VUT’s Netball Courts on Saturday. This tournament saw three student netball teams battle against each other for the championship. It was high-intensity games with all the participating teams showing their quality.

The day’s programme started at 11:00.

The tournament was played in a point system, with the team that accumulated the most points crowned the tournament champions.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, these students said the tournament is part of keeping them active.

It was a fun-filled day with students enjoying every moment of competing against each other.

“We decided to organise this tournament among ourselves to keep us busy and active. We started with three teams, and we do not doubt that we are going to have more teams in the future. It is not about winning, but about staying active,” they told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
