Remember Elite Sports Academy boss, Xolani Mathumbo, has been elected as the Sedibeng Sports Confederation President.

This elections took place in Vereeniging Hall on Saturday.

Mathumbo was rightfully elected to lead this organisation due to his expectations in leadership. He is one of the long serving members of the organisation, also serving in the Provincial level.Those elected him have faith in him that he is going to take this organisation to the next level.

Mathumbo is one of the visionary leaders in Sedibeng.

Apart for his involvement in the organisation, he has turned the President Park Stadium in Vereeniging into a first class facilities.

This venue was a white elephant and a hot spot for criminals before Mathumbo took over and improved the facilities. This venue is now one of the best facilities not only in Sedibeng but in Gauteng.

His academy is one of the best run academies in Gauteng.

RESA has being playing in the Gauteng Department League with both boys and girls for quite some time now. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport after being elected, Mathumbo said the hard work starts now.

He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he is up to task the change sports for better in this region.

” Now the hard work has begun to regenerate the sporting ecosystem of Sedibeng. I want to thank everyone who elected me to lead this ambitious organisation. I have no doubts that together we are going to run this organisation successfully. These are the men and women who have been in sports for a long time. They have sacrificed their lives for sports in regions spend sleeplessness nights,”he concluded.
