SEDIBENG.- Jomo Cosmos wrapped their 2025/2026 season with a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Free Agents FC in the ABC League match on Saturday.

This game was decisive for the title race between Free Agents FC and La Masia FC. Despite the win, Free Agents FC finished second on the log, with La Masia FC crowned the SAFA Gauteng ABC Motsepe League 2025/2026 champions.

This was after they beat Dube Continental FC away from home in another fixture, which was the last game of the season.

In fact, the ABC Motsepe League season concluded over the weekend.

These two games, between Free Agents FC and Jomo Cosmos, and Dube Continental FC, were deciding fixtures for the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League title. For example, La Masia FC finished the season with 69 points while Free Agents FC finished second with 68 points.

It was a close contest between the two teams until the last game of the season. Much was expected from these fixtures, with many thinking Jomo Cosmos and Dube Continental would decide the championship.
