SHARPEVILLE – It was action galore when Sedibeng Basketball League teams battled it out for points at the Sharpeville Basketball Court on Saturday.

This league is one of the most exciting sporting activities in Sedibeng. These league matches are rotating at different venues in the community.

This weekend, it was Sharpeville’s chance to witness these talented boys and girls showcase their God-given talent. It was an exciting game of basketball to watch, with some brilliant individuals giving their best.

They scored some top-notch goals, flying through the air before putting the ball in the net. They were marvelous to watch, dribbling past each other before releasing the ball to their teammates. Vaal Stars Basketball Team walloped Vulcans Basketball Team 46-43 in another exciting game, with SSF Phantoms showing their class by beating Timberwolves 2-0.

The Celtics Basketball Team suffered a 49-38 defeat against the NWU Vaal Basketball Team.

The Trojans Basketball Team showed no mercy and beat the Oval Hawks Basketball Team 47-22, while the Boipatong Basketball Team showed a scoring appetite by beating the young SSF Phathoms 114-24.

In another game, Brownies Basketball Team demonstrated their experience when they beat Golden Jets Basketball Team 47-12. Boipatong Nets Basketball Team continued where they left off against SSF Phantoms when they beat Kings Basketball Team 47-17 in the second game.

The Oval Hawks Basketball Team redeemed themselves when they beat the Timberwolves 20-0. The Crizzlies Basketball Team beat the Sharks Basketball Team 21-14 in the U16 league match.
