SEDIBENG.- The Sedibeng U19 netball team finished as runners-up at the annual Telkom Netball South Africa Championships in Boksburg, Johannesburg, following a hard-fought 41-31 loss in the final.

Led by coach Bashin Thaba, the young squad, the majority of whom remain eligible for the same division next year, delivered an outstanding tournament performance.

“They played very well during the first two quarters but unfortunately conceded points in the final quarter. Despite missing out on the title, I’m proud of my team and their discipline,” said Thaba.

While the team fell just short of the trophy, Thaba highlighted that they successfully achieved their core objective of bringing a medal back home.

Tshwane was crowned the champions of the tournament.
