FC Government against Major 1 FC, final before final!

The tournament is hosted by Bafana Bafana star Relebohile Mofokeng, who has recently secured a move to Belgium.

SEDIBENG.- The highly anticipated semi-final clash between FC Government and Major 1 FC is widely being hailed as a “final-before-final.”

As the two most supported teams in the competition, they are set to meet on Saturday at the James Ground in the first semi-final of the Relebohile Mofokeng tournament.

The entire tournament, which has been running successfully in Sharpeville for the past three weeks, will conclude with all the division finals taking place at the same venue on Sunday.

The tournament is hosted by Bafana Bafana star Relebohile Mofokeng, who has recently secured a move to Belgium. Mofokeng’s parents run it alongside the Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation committee. The aim is to give local youngsters a platform to showcase their talent.

While the finalists for almost all categories will be decided during Saturday’s action, the ladies’ soccer final is already set. Vaal 016 Ladies Team and National Ladies Team FC have booked their spots and will play in the final on Sunday.

For the seniors, the much-anticipated battle between soccer giants FC Government and Major 1 FC kicks off at 12:00. Local soccer fans can expect a spectacular game and the mother of all battles. In the other senior semi-final, Tshepiso Barcelona FC will go up against Swidi Wodwa FC in a match that also promises fireworks given the sheer talent both teams possess.

In addition to the senior matches, the U17 semi-finals will take place on Saturday. United Colours FC and PSG Phase 5 FC will kick-start the day’s programme with an early kick-off at 9:00.

In the second U17 semi-final, X1 Experience FC will face Vultures FC. To guarantee action galore throughout the day, Hlanganani Masters and Rumally Masters FC will also fight it out for a spot in their respective final.
