Former Jomo Cosmos star to showcase young talent
“This tournament is not about winning but giving these youngsters a platform to be seen by scouts."
SEDIBENG.- Former Jomo Cosmos hardman, Motsamai ‘Bricks’ Nxokoane, will host a soccer and netball tournament in an effort to showcase young talent in the Vaal.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Midvaal Sports Grounds in Meyerton on September 26.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Nxokoane said the main purpose of this development tournament is to give the youngsters an opportunity to display their talent.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the tournament is for the following age groups: U13, U15, U17, senior soccer teams and junior and senior netball teams.

Nxokoane will be hosting this tournament in conjunction with Mnguni Foundation under the theme “Building Champions. Building Future.”
“This tournament is not about winning but giving these youngsters a platform to be seen by scouts. Where I come from, there aren’t many opportunities for them, so I decided to organise this tournament to expose their talent. I’m going to invite some scouts from top academies to come and have a look at the youngsters,” said Nxokoane.
To date, Nxokoane is also involved in Jomo Cosmos development, coaching the U15 team that participates in the Gauteng Development League.
