Vuyo pupils make school proud
SHARPEVILLE.- “Bend the tree while it is still young.” These words rung true when Vuyo Primary School learners in Vuka, Sharpeville were given awards for participating in the Gauteng Department of Education’s recent Sedibeng East Districts’ Life Skills Performing Arts Competition.
The Grade 3 learners won in the creative writing division, they had also entered in the modern dance division within the same competition. The school’s principal, Sibusiso Nyembe, thanked the pupils for putting the school on the map and the district for organizing such an informative competition.
“Congratulations to the pupils. I would also like to thank their mentors and teachers Mrs Hlatshwayo and Ms Kubelu for co-ordinating the dance group that represented the school in the performing arts.
