Tyronne du Toit.
The South Coast Herald sat down for a quick Q and A session with the talented bodybuilders:
Q. How do you feel about winning?
Tyronne: I feel truly honored and overjoyed with the outcome of the event. Couldn’t be any happier with the result.
Q. Was it hard work?
Tyronne: Seven days a week training and dieting for 15 weeks in total having a cheat meal every second week only, training twice a day on some days and then implementing cardio only in my final week of my prep. A lot of time and effort went into the prep along with a lot of sacrifices to get my body where I needed it to be.
Proud moment for Tyronne du Toit.
Q. Are you heading to nationals?
Tyronne: I was invited by the IFBB federation but I will not be going as this was my goal to do provincials only and to give it my all.
Q. Any previous wins?
Tyronne: I won the SSN universe title in 2015, and placed second in two other shows that year. I also competed in the East Coast Classic and placed 2nd in 2016, and also took part in provincials in 2016 but came third in that show. I only competed now again in 2018, a title I won.
Njabulo Cele.
Q. Where you excited about winning?
Njabulo: Of course, I was was very excited! I worked very hard for this achievement. I was also runner-up in the men over 75kg category at the East Coast Classic earlier this year.
Q. Are you looking forward to nationals?
Njabulo: Yes, very excited! It will also be a nice break from work.
Njabulo Cele, ecstatic about his results.
Q. Any advice to those wanting to compete?
Njabulo: Keep going! Work hard and don’t expect quick results. I have only won twice, and I have been training for more than a decade.
