Watch: Winter beach day for hippos in Richards Bay

Two hippos were recently caught on camera having a leisurely day at a beach in KZN.

Two hippos were caught on camera bathing at a jetty at Alkantstrand in KZN on Tuesday morning.

According to Jaun-Pierre Leite who filmed the action, the pair ventured out of the water at about 8:20 for a few minutes before swimming off again.

All while a dredger was working in the vicinity.

This is not the first such sighting in Richards Bay, as these residents have been spotted in and around Meerensee several times in recent weeks.
