Creston stars shine again

The gala evening and charity events were well supported.

CRESTON College’s eisteddfod gala evening took place last Friday. The audience was treated to a fine repertoire of song, piano recitals, operatic pieces, brass recitals and marimba music. Thanks to Creston’s Marissa Rieger and Louna Myburgh for organising the event.

Recently the school collected pet food for the SPCA. Parents and children are thanked for their generous support and the junior primary handed the huge amount of food collected to the SPCA inspectors.

Creston played some good soccer this week: U11 girls won 1-0; U11 boys lost 4-0 against Port Shepstone Senior Primary; U15 girls won 2-0, 1st team girls won 3-1, U15 boys lost 1-0 and 1st team boys lost 2-0 against Southcity.

Falcon house won the recent junior primary interhouse athletics, while Eagle won the spirit trophy.

Creston’s top sevens rugby players travelled to Durban last Friday night for a sevens tournament hosted by St Henry’s. Creston won both their games: 1st team beat Kingsway 31-5 and St Henry’s 24-19.
