Port Shepstone Secondary knocks ’em out

The volleyball team brought the coveted trophy home.

PORT Shepstone Secondary’s final volleyball tournament was held at the Marburg Sports Complex on August 17 and fielded boys’ and girls’ teams in the U16, as well as O16 divisions.

‘The Amazons’ (girls O16) won their section convincingly and not to be outdone, the girls’ U16 team also cruised smoothly to the winning spot.

The upset of the day was the boys’ U16B side ‘Team Bazookas’ which destroyed rivals Marsec and went on to thrash the home team Sheppie Sec A team in a thrilling final. The boys’ over 16A team put on a brave fight without their anchor man, but eventually limped home without any silverware.

Congratulations to coaches, managers, all volleyballers and supporters of PSSEC on capturing the coveted 2013 schools’ volleyball champions floating trophy.
