PORT Shepstone Junior Primary’s family fun walk, held last Saturday, was a great success and an excellent fund-raiser. Pupils, parents and friends enjoyed a brisk, refreshing four-kilometre walk around the neighbourhood, chatting merrily and observing the first signs of summer.
The jumping castles and games stalls set up on the school playground were fun and another big attraction was paintball, which the more adventurous children took to enthusiastically. The delicious variety of food, cake and sweets, as well as the fine spirit amongst staff, parents and pupils contributed to making the day a much-anticipated event. The sponsors are thanked for their generosity and support, and thanks also go to Protection Services for keeping walkers safe.
Pupils welcomed spring, with flamboyant flower arrangements bringing creativity and imagination to the fore. Winners were selected and the respective pupils received their awards at a special assembly. All who took part received a certificate.
