ANOTHER busy sporting week for Izotsha Primary. 36 Cross-country runners took part in the interschool meeting at South City. Although the afternoon was exceptionally hot and dry, the runners did extremely well with Kai Hielckert (U9) and Rachel Siyangaphi (U13) winning their respective age groups.
The foundation phase hosted their sports day on August 30 and all pupils joined in the cheering, laughter, singing and fun. Panther house came first, followed very closely by Jaguar and Leopard.
Top athletes from the U9 – U13 age groups took part in the interschool athletics meeting at Suid-Natal on Saturday. Chloe Wallis 3rd (U9, 800m), Kai Hielckert 1st (U9, 800m), Jarod Higgins 1st (U13, high jump), Claudia Monin 1st (U13, 1200m), Amber Lubbe 3rd (U10, 1200m), Zamo Nyawose 1st (U10, long jump), Luke Powell 2nd (U13, shot put), Jared Payne 3rd (U13, shot put) and Rachel Siyangaphi 1st (U13, 800m) did exceptionally well.
Grade 7 pupils are looking forward to their entrepreneurial day on Friday.
