IZOTSHA Primary’s gr 7s hosted an exciting market day in the sports hall on Friday. The school shut down for two hours from 9am to 11am to support the budding entrepreneurs. As a result of the ‘live’ advertising done on Tuesday, all pupils knew exactly what was available to them and they entered the hall with a buzz of excitement.

Samoosas, peeled sugar cane, candyfloss, comfort cushions, nail-painting and make-up, vetkoek, toffee apples, coloured hairspray, and a real life-size ‘angry birds’ game, were just a few of the many exciting products and services on offer. The gr7s are looking forward to calculating the financial outcome of their respective businesses this week.

Senior soccer was played against Creston. The boys won 4 – 3 and played extremely well with very little practice. The girls had a really good game and drew 0-0. Good defence tactics were displayed by defender Hayley du Mollard and goalie Monique Monin.
