PORT Shepstone Primary was a hive of activity and pupils celebrated International Literacy Day on September 5 by listening to stories and reading independently.
Spring was welcomed by celebrating Arbor Day with a special assembly and head girl Vuyokazi Mbumbe encouraged pupils to care for the environment by not littering and to protect trees.
Guest speaker, Alex Skene from Umtentweni River Conservancy and Ezemvelo Wildlife, spoke about how litter harms our precious wildlife and assisted pupils in planting trees at the school. To understand the implications of littering, all pupils participated in a clean-up of the school surroundings, in the hope that pupils would refrain from littering both their school and the community.
Recently, an incorrect date was submitted for re-registration. Please note: re-registration for grades 1 to 6 closes on October 15. All parents are encouraged to re-register their children for 2014 academic year.
