RA Engar places second

The school received a cheque and a trophy for its efforts.

RA ENGAR pupils took part in the Hibiscus Coast Municipality school recycling competition. Some 3 240kg of waste material was collected, for which the school received R500.

The pupils also made an item from some of the recycled material for the arts and crafts category, creating a Christmas tree with decorations. Grade 6 pupils Thabo Shongwe and Phumelele Lushaba did a presentation on the item last Thursday at the Margate Art Museum.

The school was placed second in the primary schools category and received a cheque for R500, as well as a trophy. Hibiscus Coast Municipality is thanked for coordinating this environmental awareness programme.
