CONGRATULATIONS to Thando Dlamini of grade 6G, who took part in the school edition of the East Coast Radio grand challenge on Monday morning. Although she did not walk off with the big prize, she described her experience over the air as ‘scary, but exciting’.
Captained by Benjamin Jeffrey, the under 11A cricket team recently travelled to Southcity College. After losing a few crucial wickets, the team narrowly lost the game. Well done to Benjamin Jeffrey who scored 56 runs not out. The senior B team also enjoyed a home game against Southcity. After a tough and exciting match, Southcity won by one run.
Staff members Sikumbuso Mbatha and Romy Harrynanan have recently been hospitalised and are wished a speedy recovery.
With only two weeks before the onset of exams, teachers and pupils are hard at work completing the curriculum and revising.
Port Shepstone Senior Primary recently bade farewell to popular music teacher, Noel Roos, who left the school after eleven years of dedicated service. His passion for music brought fun and joy to lessons and he led the school choir to achieve many accolades. Noel will be sorely missed and is wished every success in his new venture.
Important dates to diarise are the AGM/budget meeting on November 19, the grade 4 orientation on November 20, and the annual awards day on November 26.
