Hibberdene Academy salutes matrics
It was an emotional assembly as two pupils have been at the Academy since its inception.
FINAL assembly for the matric class of 2013 last Friday was an emotional occasion as the pupils prepare to set out on the next phase of their lives, a really exciting and yet terrifying journey.
Each pupil gave a humbling, heart-warming speech and thanked the school, teachers and support staff for all the extra lessons and hard work selflessly given. Two of the pupils have been at Hibberdene Academy since its inception in 2001 and have really seen and lived through major changes.

The principal in turn thanked the matrics for their contribution and wished them well, reminding them that with this being the first year of the IEB exams, the Academy would be expecting great things from them, not only in terms of marks, but in their future careers. The school then bade farewell to each pupil by saying goodbye via ‘a tunnel of arms’ all the way to the gate.
The first examination begins on October 24 and all pupils are wished the best.
