On Monday, grade 1 and 2 boys played cricket against Southcity, while the grade 3 boys played at Izotsha. Junior and senior cricket was played against Creston and the A team won by nine wickets. James Coull took three wickets and Chase Britz and Ross Klusener took two each. Izotsha chased the score in five overs, Ross Klusener scored 19 not out and Chase Britz scored 18 not out. Ross Klusener was awarded man of the match.
The B team won by 126 runs with Richard Bormann retiring at 85 and Zack Thiele at 52. Izotsha bowled Creston all out for 52 with Zack Thiele taking 4 wickets. The U13A team lost by 30 runs and Jared Payne was man of the match, but unfortunately poor fielding let the team down. The U13B team won by 9 wickets, making 92 runs in 20 overs. Hano Scholtz took two wickets and Luca Weber took three. Cameron Palmer made 35 not out and Luke Powell, awarded man of the match, made 31.
The Junior Primary hosted a cultural evening on Wednesday. Parents were treated to beautiful art work, songs and poems and each class represented a different animal. The main focus was on rhino, as awareness is being raised on ‘Save the Rhino’ and all money collected will go to this worthy cause.
The school’s golf day was well attended. Thank you to all who helped with the organisation, as well as the sponsors and those who supported the day.
