Lions hand over big cash prize

The 100 Club proceeds are used for Lions' projects.

CHRISTMAS came early for Trish Naylor of Uvongo, the winner of the recent Shelly Beach Lions’ 100 Club draw.

After her number was drawn from the hat at the 100 Club draw function at the Shelly Beach Ski-boat Club last week, club president Clinton Barclay was pleased to present her with her R5 000 cash prize.

Clinton also presented a certificate of appreciation to ski-boat club representative Gary Moodley and thanked him for his ongoing support of the club’s many projects and fund-raising events.

Guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and were royally entertained by entertainer Craig Lewis. The club holds regular 100 Club draws to raise funds. Proceeds from this draw will be used to complete the renovations to the Margate Saints Surf Lifesaving Club clubhouse at St Michael’s beach.
